What Is BPC-157?

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a synthetic 15-amino acid sequence derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. It was isolated by researchers studying the stomach's remarkable ability to protect and repair itself. In animal models, it has demonstrated broad tissue healing capabilities across tendons, ligaments, muscle, bone, cornea, skin, and the gastrointestinal tract.

How It Works

BPC-157 promotes angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), upregulates growth factor receptors (including VEGF and EGF), and modulates nitric oxide production at injury sites. It also exhibits significant anti-inflammatory activity and has been shown in rodent models to accelerate healing of surgical cuts, Achilles tendon transections, muscle tears, and colitis lesions — often at doses as low as 10–100mcg/kg/day.

Injectable vs. Oral

Route of administration matters. Injectable BPC-157 is ideal for systemic effects, joint injuries, and musculoskeletal recovery — it reaches tissues more efficiently. Oral capsules are better suited for gut healing (IBD, leaky gut, gastric ulcers) as they act locally throughout the GI tract. Many users combine both during active injury protocols.

Injectable Dose: 250–500mcg/day
Oral Dose: 500–1000mcg/day
Form: Subcutaneous injection or oral capsule
Protocol Length: 4–8 weeks acute / 12 weeks maintenance
